Steve Nieto received a Bachelors in Architecture from California State Polytechnic University Pomona and in 1985 he established SWC. With over 39 years of experience in design and construction, Steve brings invaluable experience to each of his projects. His work can be seen in the deserts most beautiful residential communities, which include Bighorn, Mirada Estates, and the Madison Club and many others. Steve has designed several commercial projects including Old Town La Quinta which is a shopping and dining destination and has become the hub of activities for the community.
Steve enjoys the design-build process and has a special interest in the construction and delivery of each designed project. As a licensed general contractor he brings a sense of reality to all his work and oversees all projects to ensure that they are delivered on time and on budget.
Nick Nieto, Design & Real Estate Services
Nick has been with the firm since 2010, his work experience in building design and in real estate are invaluable. Nick graduated in 2008 from Cal State University Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in Business. He has always had a passion for design and creative thinking which has allowed him to excel in the industry. In 2012 he received his California Real Estate License and has taken on the role as Real Estate adviser/facilitator for SWC. Nick also leads the firm’s marketing and social media presence.

Peter Sjöström received his Master of Architecture from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art’s School of Architecture in Copenhagen, Denmark. He currently holds professional licensure in the U.S., Sweden and Denmark.
Peter has over 25 years of international experience in the planning and design of residential, commercial and retail projects having lived and practiced in Europe, China and the U.S. He has taught design studios at University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and serves on the advisory board for a handful of other educational institutions. For the past number of years Peter has specialized in high-end custom projects both in the U.S. and abroad. He is currently based out of Palm Springs, California.
